Results to date
One of the major tasks in OSIRIS is the modeling and analysis of existing ICT-related RIs and formulation of a set of conclusions for future coordinated investments in RIs and common ways of cooperation and operation.
One of the first tasks was to create a list of relevant ICT Research Infrastructures. We identified a selection of network RIs, computing RIs, Micro/Nano Technologies (MNT) and instrumental-related infrastructures, data infrastructures and future internet. There are of course other examples but we limited ouselves to these RIs. Click on the following image to get a graphical representation of the RIs that were chosen:

The second task was to compare the RIs in terms of the different best practices. This structuring includes aspects of Governance, Sustainability , Access Policy and Operations. A mapping methodology is used to structure and visualize the information. This methodology allows a standardized representation of the most important aspects in setting up and running an ICT RI.
